Queentrepreneur Women’s Foundation Partners with West African Conservation Network

QWFN Partners with West African Conservation Network overview Queentrepreneur Women’s Foundation Partners with West African Conservation Network for Long-Term Community and Environmental Development in Kainji Reserve In an inspiring commitment to environmental and community empowerment, Queentrepreneur Women’s Foundation and Network (QWFN) has partnered with the West African Conservation Network (WACN) to establish a Community Development Center in Nigeria’s Kainji Reserve. This 31-year land lease agreement marks a landmark venture aimed at strengthening local communities, protecting biodiversity, and creating sustainable tourism opportunities in the reserve, which holds one of West Africa’s most cherished natural ecosystems. The center will provide a unique space where women from surrounding communities can gain critical skill sets through vocational training and business development programs. These initiatives are designed not only to empower women in economically vulnerable communities but also to build resilient livelihoods that discourage environmentally harmful practices such as poaching and deforestation. Tessy Nkechi Egonu Founder of Queentrepreneur Women’s Foundation, explained, “Through this partnership, we’re not only investing in the future of women but also in the preservation of our environment and natural heritage. By equipping women with skills, we can foster community-led conservation that uplifts lives and protects precious natural resources.” Tessy Nkechi Egonu Fouder of Queentrepreneur Women’s Foundation and Network In addition to skill acquisition and economic empowerment programs, the center aims to support a variety of environmental conservation activities within the reserve. The partnership with WACN includes efforts to fundraise for wildlife protection and anti-poaching efforts, essential to preserving the rich biodiversity of Kainji Reserve. As wildlife attracts eco-conscious tourism, the center hopes to amplify Nigeria’s tourism sector, inviting visitors from around the world to experience the beauty of Kainji while fostering sustainable practices. Contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) This partnership aligns with several key UN Sustainable Development Goals, including: SDG 1: No Poverty – By providing women with income-generating skills and opportunities, the initiative aims to reduce poverty in local communities. SDG 4: Quality Education – Through skill acquisition and vocational training, the center will deliver lifelong learning opportunities for women and community members. SDG 5: Gender Equality – Women’s empowerment is a central focus of the center, as it prioritizes gender-inclusive economic and social opportunities. SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth – By enhancing local skills and providing alternative sources of income, the center will foster sustainable economic growth and reduce dependency on unsustainable practices. SDG 13: Climate Action – By engaging the community in sustainable land use and conservation, the project directly addresses climate change mitigation efforts. SDG 15: Life on Land – The center’s conservation initiatives protect wildlife and their habitats, promoting biodiversity and environmental sustainability. As Queentrepreneur Women’s Foundation and West African Conservation Network look ahead to the decades of this partnership, they stand as advocates of a model for holistic, sustainable development. This initiative brings hope not only for women and their families but for the future of West Africa’s natural landscapes and the species that call Kainji Reserve home. become a partner Let’s Join Hands to Create Sustainable Impact Call us on + (234) 806 550 6924 , send us an email, or simply complete out partnership interest form and we will get back to you. partner with us

Queen Entrepreneur Women’s Foundation and Network Partners with Nigeria Legal Aid for Pro Bono Legal Services

QWFN Partners with Nigeria Legal Aid Overview In a significant stride towards social justice, the Queen Entrepreneur Women’s Foundation has partnered with Nigeria Legal Aid to provide pro bono legal services for incarcerated women and young girls who have been victims of domestic violence, rape, or have found themselves in unfortunate circumstances due to self-defense. This collaboration aims to ensure that these vulnerable individuals, often without access to legal representation, receive the support and justice they deserve Vine heritage is a foundation with a rescues home situated at Kuje in Nigeria’s capital city – Abuja. The home is run by Mr. Stephen Olusola Ajayi who hails from Osogbo, Oyo state in Nigeria. He has been a missionary for twenty-nine (29) years. A Landmark Success The partnership recently celebrated a milestone with its first successful case. A 16-year-old girl, wrongly accused of stealing a phone based on her appearance alone, had been languishing in detention for months without legal representation. The Queen Entrepreneur Women’s Foundation, under the leadership of Keran Danjan, Tessy Egonu, and lead counsel Mercy Olamide, took up her case. Their diligent efforts resulted in the charges being struck out, and the young girl was joyfully reunited with her family. The Importance of Legal Representation This case highlights the critical need for accessible legal representation. Many women and young girls in Nigeria are unjustly incarcerated due to systemic failures and lack of legal resources. By partnering with Nigeria Legal Aid, the Queen Entrepreneur Women’s Foundation is working to address these injustices, providing a voice to those who have been silenced and a pathway to justice for those who have been wronged. Beyond Legal Aid: Rehabilitation & Reintegration Recognizing that the journey to justice does not end in the courtroom, the Foundation is committed to supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of the women and girls they assist. The trauma experienced in prison facilities can have lasting impacts, and the Foundation seeks partnerships with rehabilitation centers to help these individuals rebuild their lives. By offering comprehensive support, including mental health services and vocational training, the Foundation aims to empower these women and girls to lead normal, productive lives post-incarceration. Call for Collaboration The Queen Entrepreneur Women’s Foundation is open to further partnerships with organizations dedicated to rehabilitation and social reintegration. Together, they can create a supportive network that addresses both the immediate legal needs and the long-term well-being of these women and girls. Join the Movement The Queen Entrepreneur Women’s Foundation invites individuals, organizations, and stakeholders to join in this vital work. By working together, we can ensure that justice is accessible to all, and that no woman or girl has to face the legal system alone.
