Project Blossom
1000 Blossoms: Empowering 1000 Girls through Menstrual Hygiene (Sanitary Pad Distribution)
Queentrepreneur Women’s Foundation aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young girls by providing them with the support they need to thrive in school and beyond, with a target to aid 1000 girls every year.
context problem & statement
In many communities, young girls face significant challenges in accessing sanitary pads, leading to absenteeism from school during menstruation. Lack of access to proper menstrual hygiene products often results in embarrassment, discomfort, and ultimately, missed educational opportunities. The Queentrepreneur Women’s Foundation recognizes the urgent need to address this issue to ensure that all girls have equal access to education and opportunities for success.
target group
The primary beneficiaries of this project are young girls attending public schools in underserved communities. These young girls often come from low-income families where purchasing sanitary pads is a financial burden, leading to their exclusion from essential menstrual hygiene resources.
the solution
The Queentrepreneur Women’s Foundation proposes a sustainable solution through the distribution of sanitary pads to young girls in public schools. By providing free access to menstrual hygiene products, we aim to empower girls to stay in school during their menstruation cycles, reducing absenteeism and improving their overall educational outcomes.
Impact & Transformative Potential:
The impact of this project extends beyond the mere provision of sanitary pads. By ensuring that One Thousand (1000) young girls can attend school regularly, we contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering girls to reach their full potential. Increased school attendance among girls leads to higher academic achievement, improved health outcomes, and enhanced self-esteem. Additionally, by raising awareness about menstrual hygiene and destigmatizing menstruation, We foster a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for girls.
